Does Meditation help?

The practice of Meditation and the effects on well-being are well accepted by some believers, however not much evidence on the actual changes induced by practicing meditation are available. I am glad to see more and more publications related to the objective evidence on anatomical changes induced by meditation. An interesting study reports that 21 individuals improved their brain MRI images after using integrative body–mind training (IBMT) where they were able to show changes on the brain images, and in particular on the white matter of the anterior cingulated cortex which is related to self-regulation.
